My Experiment With Fire

Image
Unlike Mahatma Gandhiji, who took several years of learning and experimenting with the ‘truth’, I look only a few days of my life for ‘my experiment with fire’. Let us see how and what all happened. Thanks to my father’s transferable job that took us to a small city in Madhya Pradesh. Location: Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh Year: 1994 Life was slow there and those times were like that too I believe. We had time for everything. My school was hardly 5 minutes walk from my house.  It was winter of that year, may be month of November, and the nights had started to turn chilly. Nobody likes leaving the warmth from the bed, to go out in such a chilly morning. But, we had the school to attend. Made lots of  friends; girls & boys at that time were of the same gender that was of ‘Children’. We were free in thought & clean at heart. Only with time we get the gender tag as 'male' or 'female'. Lot of changes happen as time passes. But as time passes, we don't realize that we are leaving behind a bunch full of moments 'happy' and 'sad' that when

The kingdom was ruled by Majaraja Gyan Singh, he had four children, 3 boys and a girl, named after lord Krishna : Shyam, Gopal, Kanahiya & Radha, the daughter. In those days, there were no schools, this does not mean that there was no education at tht time, there were gurukuls, where most of the children of the kingdom were admitted for education under a ‘guru’. This kingdom had a guruji named ‘Bhimashankarachariya’. A special thing about this particular kingdom was that a special honored name was given after the children completed the final stage of the education. The children were taught Vedic Science and Mathematics, Arts and crafts that included painting, pottery, sculpture design etc.. and also Sanskrit, which opened the window to the ancient texts. And later th
